Previous Background
Leanne has served as director of operations for Coosa International Tennis Academy and Coosa Junior Golf Academy since 2009. She has more than 25 years of coaching and teaching experience, and is a certified TOEFL instructor with memberships to both USPTA and USPTR. In high school, Leanne was a 12-time All-State honoree and won two state championships in track and field. At the collegiate level, she excelled in tennis, cross country and track. She was a three-time All-American and finished second in the 1985 NAIA heptathlon, which later earned her induction into Campbell University’s Sports Hall of Fame. After graduating with dual major in communication and literature, Leanne went on to become a 16-time North Carolina state cycling champion. Ranked among the United States’ top cyclists from 1988-92, she participated in both the National Cycling Championships and the U.S. Olympic Cycling Trials. Leanne also taught English at Darlington from 2004-2009. She is married to Marshall Mann (’66), the father of alumnae Ashley (Mann) Pittman (’89) and Lindsey (Mann) Field (’99).

Summer: The Ideal Time for SAT Prep

Hacklin finishes 4th in IMG Golf Tournament

Darlington junior Lauri Hacklin of Coosa Junior Golf Academy finished fourth in his age group in an IMG Junior Golf Tour event, held Feb. 16-17 at The Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Ga. He competed in the Boys 15-18 division.

Fencing Club to host tournament and Open House

Darlington School will host a Fencing Club Open House on Saturday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Huffman Athletic Center. Open to the general public, the event will include an epee and foil fencing tournament, fencing demonstrations, refreshments, and an opportunity to meet the coaching staff.
