Health of the Community Update
Throughout the spring and summer, a dedicated group of Darlington faculty has been hard at work developing plans and strategies for the opening of school on Monday, Aug. 17. Darlington’s plan for returning to school is possible because our community of trust allows us to put in place expectations of our students, families, and faculty designed to mitigate the risk of the spread of Covid-19.

Multisensory Learning

Our primary grades curriculum focuses on the whole child and uses a hands-on approach to building on developmental skills. In this video spotlight you'll hear about the many facets of multi-sensory learning as it relates to reading and writing and how implementing the Orton-Gillingham Method has benefited all students.

Seniors hit the ground running on the first day of school with College Bootcamp. They meet with their college advisors, hear from a series of college admissions pros, and attend small-group session on different topics related to college.

Meet Jamila

She came to Darlington in fifth grade, and as Jamila Wood ('18) made her way through the Upper School began to pursue her passion in video editing. A Rome, Ga. native, Jamila has also been involved in theatrical productions and chorus.
