Dana Peek has taught Upper School math since 2010 and was named a dean of students in 2014. She holds a B.A. in Economics from Furman University and an M.Ed. in Independent School Leadership from Vanderbilt University. Prior to being hired, Dana was a frequent substitute teacher at Darlington and regularly tutored students in math. She has also served as an SAT Prep math instructor for Floyd County Schools, and has seven years of experience in college admissions. She is the mother of current students Ella (’15) and Harris (’18).

"Real Women, Real Purpose" speaker series begins Oct. 25

Their son Chase was an honor student who died at age 16 following his usage of synthetic marijuana.

Inside the educational arena, questions, concerns and discussions regarding best homework practices are popping up like moles in the arcade game, “whack-a-mole.” By the time answers start to gel around one of these questions, another pops up and demands an answer or, at the very least, spurs a dizzying quest to determine “best practices.”
