Matt Larry

Physical Education Teacher, ELA-8

Matt has served as Pre-K to 8 physical education teacher and head baseball coach since 2015. He is also an assistant softball coach. Matt holds a B.S. in Social Science from Shorter College and a Master of Science in Education from Jacksonville State University. He has more than 20 years of experience in athletics, serving as head baseball coach and professor of health education at Shorter University prior to his work at Darlington. At Shorter, Matt was named Staff Member of the Year in 2012.

Darlington to host baseball prospect camp and showcase

June 2, 2016
Darlington has been selected to host the Junior Day Baseball Prospect Camp & Showcase on June 14. College coaches from Ohio University, Furman University, Mercer University, University of South Carolina Aiken and other institutions will lead the camp, which features one-on-one and small group instruction.

Larry named head baseball coach, ELA-8 P.E. teacher

June 2, 2015
Matt Larry will join the Darlington Community as head varsity baseball coach, assistant softball coach and ELA-8 physical education teacher, effective August 1. Larry has served as the head baseball coach at Shorter University for the past 12 years, where he instilled the importance of sportsmanship and community service.
