Senior Ruthie Brinson has been named to the Georgia Volleyball Coaches Association (GVCA) 1A All-State First Team. She notably finished her senior season with a .470 hitting percentage, which ranks 21st in the nation, eighth in Georgia and first in the 1A division.
"Ruthie has been the glue that holds the team together all year," said head coach Sam Clark.
Brinson competed with other members of the All-State team in the Senior All-Star match on Nov. 2 at Seckinger High School.
"She is an exceptional player and captain, and it was such a honor to see her play one last time in her Darlington uniform at the All Star Senior game," said Clark.
