Congratulations to six of our Lower School Band members who were selected for this year's District VII Clinic Honor Band at Hammond Creek Middle School in Dalton, Ga. This Honor Band event celebrates the talent and hard work of younger band members who are rising leaders. Students are selected to be part of the Honor Band for their achievement, dedication and positive spirit in their band program.
Our six Darlington Band members joined an ensemble that involved many other young, talented band musicians from schools in our districts. Students had a great day of learning from guest conductors and also meeting others who were selected. Our band members did a fantastic job, and they performed in a concert after rehearsing for only one day.
Congratulations to the following Tiger Band students for being selected and doing a great job representing our school: seventh-graders Mia Forino (clarinet), Porter Montague (trumpet), and Jalise Morgan (trumpet); sixth-graders Luke Eberhart (alto saxophone) and Maddox Kinnebrew (percussion); and fifth-grader Nicolas Buscato Giotto (clarinet).
