Mrs. Baldwin’s Advisory on Dot Day

Mrs. Baldwin's seventh-grade advisory girls worked on two service projects on Dot Day. Outside of Darlington, the girls worked at the Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries food pantry. They packed bags for the Backpack Buddies program, restocked the shelves and counted the number of bags they completed. Back at Darlington, they created a learning experience for the fifth grade girls during their PE time. They came up with a lesson on sportsmanship - learning to win and learning to lose. They also organized different games like birthday lineup, Simon says, trashketball, mousetrap, hangers on a clothesline and more. They finished their activity with a reflection on playing, winning and losing while having fun.

Middle grades students participate in International Dot Day each year as a way to serve and "make our mark" in our community.
