Our second-graders have been working hard building their place value understanding. They have been practicing the many different ways you can represent a number. Students worked in groups to play a place value match-up games. They had to match up all the ways to represent each given number - standard form, expanded form, base-ten drawing, base-ten numerals, and word form.
