Literacy in first grade so far has been a mix of hands on centers, writing, reading and spelling. Each day students have the opportunity to work with a teacher and in small groups. This allows every child to get the instruction and practice they need. Literacy is usually a favorite time of day for our Pirates because of the variety of engaging activities to choose from.
