Parents of students in pre-K to second grade were invited to an engaging evening of active learning as Darlington's pre-K to 2 teachers showcased simple yet effective activities designed to enhance literacy and number sense. During this event, parents stepped into their children's shoes, actively participating in multisensory mathematics and literacy stations. The experience allowed them to see firsthand how these hands-on approaches are used in the classroom to foster a deeper understanding of foundational skills.
This event was the second in a three-part series, so be sure to mark your calendars for the final session, Skate into Winter, happening Nov. 12 from 5:45 to 7 p.m. in Thatcher Hall. This upcoming session will focus on providing parents with creative ideas for educational activities they can enjoy with their children over the holidays.
A special thank you to all the pre-K to 2 faculty members for their dedication and hard work in planning these events, which not only highlight the innovative methods used in their classrooms but also strengthen the home-school connection.
