After 14 rounds of intense competition, eighth-grader Kayo Lufadeju won the Thatcher Hall Spelling Bee. Also making it to the final rounds were fifth-grader Isha Garg who placed second and Jackson Peer who placed third. Thirty-five students in grades 3-8 competed.
Lufadeju will represent Darlington in the first round of the Georgia Independent School Association Spelling bee which will be held in February.
