Recently, I worked with Mrs. Ashley Evans, to provide a lesson about Perú for the fourth-graders at Darlington. We learned facts about the country, and then the students enjoyed playing a game of Kahoot. I was one of 20 Darlington students and three chaperones that traveled to Peru over Thanksgiving break. Over the course of the week, we visited Ollantaytambo, Machu Picchu, and Cusco. In Ollantaytambo, we helped build a sustainable garden at the dormitory for the girls of the Sacred Valley Project. You can see pictures of the trip at this link. I was excited to share what I learned during this trip with the fourth graders.
My Senior Ventures project focuses on working with people in the Darlington and Rome communities to learn how to speak Spanish and English. You can learn more about my project by reading my blog on the Darlington website.
