Students in pre-K all the way through the Upper School had the opportunity to participate in Computer Science Education Week through an Hour of Code. Several of our Upper School students assisted with lessons at Thatcher with the younger students. Sharon Sun, a Darlington senior, taught several lessons with Sphero, as part of her Senior Ventures project. While coding is a part of our curriculum every rotation, this was a special time to explore creativity and different ways to program. Our middle school robotics team, GryffinDAR led a special presentation in assembly, as well. A huge thank you to Sharon, the DARbots, the Intro to Engineering classes, and the programming iPeriod for their assistance this past week!
