Golf Academy members Cooper Cates, Lindsey Cordell, Alec Patterson, Scott Spyra, Redding Shaw competed in the AJGA Rome Junior Classic at Coosa Country Club on May 4-5. AJGA is the best junior golf tour in America. The field included golfers from 19 states and 5 countries. Senior Scott Spyra had his best round of the year with an opening round 69 . Redding Shaw shot an opening 74 for his low academy tournament score. Alec Patterson shot a closing round 73 and Cooper Cates had a 79 in second round. Lindsey Cordell had an opening 72 and finished strong with a 67-67 (low round of the day) to finish runner-up in the event. Congratulations to Lindsey on his runner-up finish in one of the top tournaments on the AJGA tour.
