The top five finalists from the Darlington Fifth Grade Science Fair competed in the Area Independent Schools Science Fair and Caroline Jordan won first place in the fifth grade category with her "Germ Busters" project.
Caroline tested three antibacterial substances to see which one prevented the most bacteria from growing in a petri dish. She gathered samples to test by swabbing three high traffic areas around school. Dial Antibacterial Hand Soap was the winner!
Also representing Darlington in the competition were Atlas Kosedag, Angeline Myrie, Charlie Patel, and Emi Grace Wood.
