Fifth-graders were charged with the task of creating a memoir... in only six words.
After learning that a memoir is an individual's personal account of his or her life, some students chose of focus on an overarching idea that shapes who he/she is while others chose a single event that had a significant impact on his/her life.
Once the topic was chosen, the hard work began as students realized they could only use six words to convey importance of his/her idea or event. The results were just lovely.
