International Dot Day global creativity festival celebrates the "birthday" of Peter H. Reynolds' classic book, "The Dot." On or around the 15th of September, children and adults all over the world celebrate International Dot Day, reading the book together and exploring the themes of creativity, bravery and self-expression. On Friday, Darlington seventh- and eighth-grade students performed acts of service around the community in honor of Dot Day. Ms. Seibert and Ms. Deaton's second-graders created dots with Coach Smith's, Ms. Willingham's, Mr. Connell's and Mrs. Overberg's eighth-grade advisee groups. Mrs. Overberg turned everyone's artwork into an amazing display of creativity in the Middle School Library.
