We worked hard during our first week of school to learn the procedures to follow as we travel and work cooperatively at Darlington's PK-4 campus. We were excited to ride the bus to Convocation on the very first day and see all the Darlington students from all around the globe! We loved learning about the oceans. We know the names of the four oceans and which one is the biggest! We read about all kinds of sea creatures and did crayon rubbings of some of them. Our art teacher, Mrs. Moore, helped us create sea turtles. We learned about Cass, who loves to cook, and her cat, Coconut, as we began our reading series! We began graphing as we learned number words and reviewed counting. We learned about spiders as we observed a Black Widow under our big magnifying glass. We sang and danced and worked in centers. We celebrated with Charlie as he lost the first tooth of the new school year! We made new friends and hugged old friends! We listened, worked hard and played hard as "together, we" learned that learning is fun!! What a fabulous week!
