Kim Brackett held a clinic today for the Middle School percussion section. Brackett did her undergraduate work at the University of Mass., Amherst, and has studied privately with Peter Tanner and Harvey Biskin. She has held summer residence with Chautauqua Symphony and has performerd with Pioneer Valley Symphony (New York, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Connecticut) for seven years. Currently, Brackett is the principal percussionist for the Rome Symphony, where she has played for the past 14 years. She visits Darlington at least once a week as her sons, Evan and Chase, participate in our Home-School Outreach Program. This new program allows home-schooled students to participate in instrumental ensembles at Darlington.
