A Darlington student is made up of many things. None of which is average. We help our students develop their interests, passions and pursuits, because we believe every individual has something to contribute. We also believe that only when you're 100% you, are you 100% Darlington.
Here at Darlington, every student’s path is different. We think that's a good thing.
Let’s get to know Caroline Knight, a four-year day student from Rome who loves running on the campus trails with the cross country team.

If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
I know I’ll offend my other coaches when I say this, but I have to go Coach JP. He’s coached me since I was nine years old and he taught me nearly everything I know about tennis. After dealing with both my triumphs and my crash outs, I at least owe him this. Thanks coach!
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The XC trails behind Darlington. The XC team and I had many fun runs up there and it’s super surreal at the top. Watch out for spiderwebs though.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Ms. Shores was definitely my favorite teacher. Her teaching style really suited me and she always kept it real.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
RUMPUS
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
Meeting and making friends with students from all over the world and getting to know them on duty. Also being able to help make our RUMPUS lip sync this past year, if you know me you know I’m a terrible dancer, so being able to contribute to something like that was awesome.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
Although I’ve definitely come out of my shell, I’ve also become more grounded and firm. I feel strong about who I am and what I want, which was something I was nervous about when first getting here.
What is your dream job?
As of right now, a wildlife veterinarian.
