Let’s get to know Minh Chau, a two-year boarding student from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, who serves as a dorm leader in Cooper House.
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
I think of purple, white and spirit.
What song reminds you of high school?
“get well soon” by Ariana Grande
What's your favorite show to binge watch?
I would say “Detective Conan” series and movies.
What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
It’s either Blue Fin or John Henry’s.
What house are you a member of?
I am a member of Cooper House.
What are you involved in?
I am one of Cooper’s Dorm Leaders. I am in Green Team, Darlington Asian Student Union, Hugs & Threads and helped with taking photos for Yearbook. I was also a crew member for Fall Play last school year.
If you are involved in fine arts, what is your favorite activity and why?
I did Stagecraft and Communication Arts, and I really enjoyed both. They gave me the chance to be creative while also building practical technical skills in production and media. I feel like both subjects really match what I’m personally interested in.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
My favourite place on campus is the lake and the trail area, because I enjoy walking around campus (either with friends or alone) as it is really refreshing after a long day.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
I like all of my teachers, they are all so cool and awesome. :)
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
I would say the people here at Darlington.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
To be able to meet different people from different regions in one space.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I have been more independent and probably have grown wiser.
What is your dream job?
To be an architect.
