Let’s get to know Kalli Cleland, a four-year day student from Rome who is thankful for the close relationships she has with her teachers.
When you think of Darlington, what three words come to mind first?
Community, diversity and spirited
What song reminds you of high school?
“Yellow” by Coldplay
What's your favorite show to binge watch?
My favorite shows to binge watch are “Grey's Anatomy” and “Gilmore Girls.”
What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?
My favorite restaurant in Rome is Blue Fin.
What house are you a member of?
I am in Regester House.
What are you involved in?
I run track, and I am also on the yearbook staff.
If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Coach Hunt because he is very disciplined and wants us to be great. He is just overall a good coach.
If you are involved in fine arts, what is your favorite activity and why?
I like taking pictures because capturing moments around school is very fun.
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The science hall because two of my favorite teachers are there, Ms. Haynes and Coach P.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teachers are Ms. Haynes, Mr. Shorey and Mrs. Perkins.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
My favorite thing about Darlington is RUMPUS.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
I could not have formed the close relationships with teachers that I have.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I have become more mature and my focus on academics has improved.
What is your dream job?
My dream job is to become a physician.
