Let’s get to know Anjola Morgan, a four-year boarding student from Atlanta who loves how RUMPUS, Darlington’s annual house competition weekend, builds unity among day and boarding students in each dorm.

Community, Service, Celebration

What's your favorite show to binge watch?
“Modern Family”
What's your favorite restaurant in Rome?

What house are you a member of?

What are you involved in?
Tennis, Honor Council, Advancement Ambassadors, Green Team
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite place on campus is the Tiger Tutor Lab because of all the great memories I made there during my junior year. It’s a welcoming and supportive environment where I can focus, study, get my work done, and spend time with friends.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teachers are Ms. Shores and Ms. Haynes. Ms. Shores always made learning interesting, interactive, and easy to understand. Ms. Haynes does the same and is always willing to help, especially during office hours or whenever I need extra support.
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
My favorite thing about Darlington is its community. There are always events and opportunities throughout the year that bring everyone together and allow us to connect.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
An experience I couldn’t have had anywhere else is RUMPUS. It brings the entire dorm together, both day and boarding students, and allows us to unite and work and get to know each other better. Through RUMPUS, I’ve been able to meet people I might have never otherwise met. No matter the outcome, we get to work together on our Lip Sync, watch all of our hard work come together in the end, and celebrate as a community.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I have become more independent, able to manage myself and my time better, and become more outgoing and come out of my shell, talking to more people and making new friends each year.
What is your dream job?
I don’t have a dream job, but I’ve considered being a lawyer in the future.
