At Darlington, one of our greatest strengths is the partnership between school and home. Whether you are a parent who sees your child each evening after school, or you are many miles away entrusting us with your child as a boarding student, you play an important role in their educational journey. This year, we are excited to introduce Toddle as a new platform that will make this partnership stronger, more seamless, and more transparent.

What is Toddle?
Toddle is our new Learning Management System (LMS), designed to give you a clear window into what your child is learning in every class. We chose Toddle because it allows you to:

• See the big picture of what teachers have planned unit by unit
• Explore resources shared by teachers
• See classwork, homework, and lesson plans, including upcoming and past-due assignments
• Follow along with your child’s progress through portfolios and class updates
• Access the Gradebook to view performance progres and teacher feedback

Toddle provides great tools to let teachers plan your child’s learning journey and helps you stay connected to that journey whether you are across town or across the globe.

Why This Matters
We believe learning is at its best when parents, students, and teachers are working in partnership. Toddle gives you the tools to:

• Support learning at home – follow assignments and encourage good study habits.
• Celebrate growth – see your child’s projects, reflections, and achievements as they happen.
• Stay informed – track academic performance and get classroom updates in real time.

For our international families, Toddle offers a meaningful way to stay connected to daily learning, no matter the distance.

How to Access Toddle

• On the web: Log into the Darlington Parent Portal and select the Toddle shortcut under “Classroom Tools.”  You’ll be signed in automatically
• On your phone: Download the Toddle Family app (iOS or Android) and sign in with the same email used for your Parent Portal account. 

Once logged in, you’ll see your child’s home screen and quite a few options, but here are a few to pay closer attention to:

• Assignments and Deadlines: This is the same "to-do" list that students see, highlighting upcoming assignments as well as any that may be past due. Note that past due assignments may just be waiting on a student to click "Mark as Done".
• Gradebook: Overall averages for each class can be found here, but so can all completed Assessments and their individual scores. Clicking into an assignment also reveals full assignment descriptions and additional teacher feedback.
• Notifications: This summarizes any recent updates to your child's records.

The video overview, along with step-by-step parent guides, will always be available on the Parent Portal under Technology Resources so you can return anytime for help or a refresher.
