Twenty-four alumni representing six states will participate in the school’s 11th annual Leadership Darlington program in March.
“We are thrilled to welcome the 11th class of Leadership Darlington back to the Lakeside! This is a prestigious and competitive opportunity for alumni to engage with their alma mater and school leaders on an in-depth, personal level,” said Vicki Vincent, director of alumni relations. “The program is designed to increase the number of alumni actively connected with the school and develop the next generation of Darlington’s leadership.”
Members of the Leadership Darlington Class of 2023 include Tripp Bagby ('91), Hunter Brooks ('10), Patrick Cash ('91), Jon Chumbler ('04), Paige Collier ('88), Rosemary (McGowin) Corte ('90), Will Coxwell ('98), Kendall (Collins) Duggan ('97), Terar (Stewart) Everhart ('13), Lindsey (Mann) Field ('99), Robert Gaffney ('07), Ashley (Rice) Gomez ('97), Dave Huguenel ('03), Ransom James ('92), Andrew Lawrence ('03), Ben Levy ('93), Mary Elizabeth (Neville) Martin ('90), Amanda Mize ('00), Gillian (Fierer) O’Nan ('98), Kim Parnell ('98), Xavier Ringer ('04), Austin Spooner ('12), Megan (Gates) Watters ('97) and Kevin Wood ('97).
Over two days, participants will obtain an integrated view of Darlington, including the internal and external forces that affect the school's direction, and the challenges she faces. They will also experience an interchange with senior administrators and participate in discussions about the future of Darlington.
The program will feature Gordon Smith ('71), vice chair of Darlington's Board of Trustees, as honorary chair of Leadership Darlington. Smith retired as executive director and chief operating officer of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) in 2019 and lives in Atlanta, Ga., with his wife, Jane.
