Welcome to Episode 26 of The Darlington Podcast! 

In this episode, guest host Bob Berry ('64) chats with members of the advancement team Julie Lucas ('97), Carson Raymond, and Becca Wood, about the Darlington Connects program. 

Bob Berry ('64) is a Darlington alumnus, former faculty member, parent of alum, current grandparent, former trustee, longtime volunteer, the voice of the Tigers football team on Friday nights, and one of the first members of our community to give his time as a mentor in the Darlington Connects program. A senior partner of Brinson Askew Berry law firm and a state-certified arbitrator and mediator, he is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Georgia Super Lawyer, and served on the executive committee of the State Bar of Georgia from 1994-96. 

Julie Lucas ('97) joined Darlington's Advancement Office in 2007 and was named chief advancement officer in 2016. As such, she spends most of her time connecting with members of our school community and helping them connect with one another. Julie is often featured as the host of Darlington Connects episodes of The Darlington Podcast. Previously, she has served as director of development, director of giving programs and campaign director for Darlington's Second Century Campaign. She is the mother of two current Darlington students.

Carson Raymond has served as director of major gifts since 2019 and spends much of his time on the road visiting with alumni, listening to their stories, and sharing news about what's going on at Darlington today. He is often featured as the host of Darlington Connects episodes of The Darlington Podcast. Carson's previous roles at Darlington, from 2010-2012, included teaching Upper School Spanish, coaching soccer, and working with the residential program. 

Becca Wood was named assistant director of alumni relations in 2016 after spending the previous year as advancement administrative assistant. Much of her time is dedicated to the Darlington Connects program, finding ways to connect members of our school community to both one another and to current students. She is the mother of two current Darlington students.
