Jennifer Collins | April 4, 2021 | 573 views

A Darlington student is made up of many things. None of which is average. We help our students develop their interests, passions and pursuits, because we believe every individual has something to contribute. We also believe that only when you're 100% you, are you 100% Darlington.

Here at Darlington, every student’s path is different. We think that's a good thing.

In this #SeniorSpotlight get to know Luke Overbay, a seven-year day student from Summerville, Ga., who plays baseball and football.

When you think of high school, what song comes to mind?
“High School Musical”

What house are you a member of?
Moser House

What are you involved in at Darlington?
Baseball and football

If you play sports, who is your favorite coach and why?
Coach Larry and Coach Atha. They are both just really great coaches and care about us outside of school.

What's your favorite place on campus and why?
The Huffman Athletic Center because there’s a lot to do over there.

Who's your favorite teacher and why?
Mr. Kinney. He’s very chill.

What's your favorite thing about Darlington?
The freedom in between classes and during free periods.

Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
The RUMPUS competition between the dorms. I know no other schools do that.

What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I’ve become more responsible and lost my country accent.

Where do you want to go to college and what is your dream job?
I’m going to Kennesaw State but I don’t know what I want to do yet.
