The Smith Smarties pre-K students and Mr. Mathis' fourth-grade class worked together to solve a problem for the goats in "The Three Billy Goats Gruff" story.
We thought it would be a great idea to bypass the troll all together and make a raft for the goats to float across the river to find new grassy meadows. But, you know goats! They ate all the materials except for straws and pipe cleaners.
Our job is to try to build a raft to hold a goat (three washers) and float for 10 seconds. Today was our first "crack" at it. Like any good designers, we will have to go back to the drawing board several times to make this raft successful for the goats!
