Instructional Technology Coordinator Cynde Reneau has been selected to present at the International Society for Technology in Education's 2014 conference in Atlanta in June.
"My presentation is titled 'Developing Policies and Procedures for a Successful 1:1 Program in K-12,'" Reneau said. "This session will help administrators understand why policies need to be in place when the 1:1 program begins and how to be an ongoing advocate for the program."
Reneau has been a member of Darlington's information technology staff since 2011. She holds an A.A.S. in Computer Science from Jones County Junior College (Miss.) as well as a B.S. in Political Science/History and an M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from Kennesaw State University. With nearly two decades of experience in educational technology, she has advanced knowledge of both the Macintosh and Windows operating systems.
According to its website, ISTE attracts upwards of 18,000 attendees from all over the globe, including teachers, technology coordinators, administrators, library media specialists, teacher educators and policy makers.
