January 15, 2013 | 305 views

Junior Sarah Beth Womble has recently been nominated as Youth Exhibitor of the Year in the Arabian Horse Times Readers' Choice Awards. You are invited to support her by voting online before Jan. 23 (voting process is outlined at the end of this article.)

Womble has been riding horses all her life and started competing in
2007. After only six months of showing, she competed in her very first Arabian Youth Nationals, the biggest show of the year. At Youth Nationals in 2007, she brought home two National Championships, one being Unanimous. Over the next four years, she was able to win an additional three Championships.

“Throughout my show career, I have been blessed with many wonderful
opportunities and horses,” Womble said.

Her most successful year to date was 2012. With a combination of skill, commitment and good fortune, she earned a total of five National Championships at the 2012 Youth Nationals. In this one show, she doubled the number of Championships she had accumulated from 2007 to 2011 -- going from five to 10.

In six years of competing throughout the Southeast and at Youth Nationals, Womble has garnered a remarkable list of achievements. She has won 20+ Regional Championships and Reserve Championships (second place), 20+ National Top Tens, five Reserve National Championships, and 10 National Championships.

This most recent awards competition is sponsored by Arabian Horse Times, one of the most prestigious publications in the Arabian horse industry. Its purpose is to recognize the best in the industry, including horses, riders, trainers and other participants. Only six competitors from around the country are selected to be official nominees in each category.

“It is a true honor for Sarah Beth to be in the final six candidates nominated for Youth Exhibitor of the Year," said Mickey Womble, Sarah Beth’s father. "The other five nominees are remarkable competitors and wonderful individuals. We are thankful for the support of all our friends within and outside the Arabian horse community. ”
