Outstanding academic achievement has won senior Kendrick Rhea the honor of being named Noon Optimist Student of the Month for April.
Rhea currently ranks 20th in his class of 139. During his high school career, he has taken 17 AP and Honors courses. An AP Scholar With Distinction, he is a member of Cum Laude Society, Spanish Honor Society, Gamma Chi Epsilon and Mu Alpha Theta. Rhea has been a member of the track and cross country teams as well as Darlington School Soccer Academy. During his summers, he has volunteered as a coach for Darlington Soccer Camp and No. 1 Select Soccer Camp.
The son of Joleen and Greg Rhea of Cartersville, Ga., he will be honored at an Optimist Club luncheon on April 30.
