Darlington eighth-grader Landon Rice was recently named a top performer at the North Georgia All-Stars tryouts. The tryouts took place at Pebblebrook High School in Cobb County last weekend.

The Georgia Future stars released this statement about Rice:
“At 6'4 and 223 lbs. he has unlimited potential on both sides of the ball. At tight end he is a big physical target with soft hands and excellent ability to make a play with the ball in his hands. He uses his body well to create space. On defense he is a physical end with a quick first step and the desire to finish every play. His size, speed, ability and aggression are a very rare package and one that will take him very far.”

The North Georgia All-Stars will compete against the South Georgia All-Stars at Lakewood Stadium in Atlanta on June 16. This game features the best middle school football players in the state of Georgia.

Rice plays tight end and defensive end and will wear his Darlington helmet during the All-Star game.
