The Lady Tiger volleyball team defeated three opponents last night on the road at North Murray. They opened the night with a victory over the host school 25-20 and 25-18. They then defeated Chattooga 25-14 and 25-19. Their final opponent of the evening was Fannin County. They dropped a game for the first time in the evening, 19-25. But the girls rallied to win the match, winning the second game 25-10 and the third 25-14.
Carrie Simon led the Lady Tigers with 18 kills, and Anna Kate Dulaney added 13 kills with over 30 percent efficiency. Coach Theresa Dulaney said she was happy with the play of the entire bench.
Darlington’s record is now 14-6 overall and 5-0 in the Area. They are hosting the 11th Annual Darlington Volleyball Invitational Tournament tomorrow in the Huffman Center. The event begins at 9 a.m. and features 11 teams.
