The College Guidance Office announces the following college scholarships reported Feb. 27 through April 4:
Marlowe Brant earned $48,000 Honor Scholarship from Agnes Scott College, $52,000 in scholarship funds plus a Pentium laptop computer from Rollins College, and an 1854 Scholars Award from Wofford College worth $40,000. She is the daughter of Jeff and Nancy Brant of Kingston, Ga.
Katherine Burton earned a $34,000 President’s Scholarship from the University of Tampa and a $28,000 Florida Tech Scholarship from the Florida Institute of Technology. She is the daughter of Patricia Burton of Cartersville, Ga., and Kirk Burton of Pinehurst, N.C.
Allen Casey earned a $20,000 Sewanee President’s Award from the University of the South. He is the son of Jackie and Cindy Casey of Cedartown, Ga.
Matt Doerner earned a $10,000 Leadership Scholarship from Brevard College. He is the son of Rosa and Chris Doerner of Acworth, Ga.
John Kagley earned a $41,000 Fairview Scholarship from Butler University. He is the son of Roni Kagley of Columbus, Ind.
Ashley King earned a $16,000 Opportunity Grant from Berry College and a $32,000 Buschmann Award from Xavier University. She is the daughter of Myra and Norman Beazer of Rome.
Anna Krueger earned a $141,676 Presidential Scholarship from Agnes Scott College, a $90,000 John Emory Scholarship from Emory University, and $60,000 in scholarship funds from Furman University. She is the daughter of Dr. Kirk and Anne Krueger of Trion, Ga.
Jonathan Myrthil earned a $40,000 Buschmann Award from Xavier University. He is the son of Dr. Gary and Evelyne Myrthil of Bonaire, Ga.
Will Santoro earned a $30,000 Gautrelet Award from Spring Hill College. He is the son of Lenora and Jim Santoro of Rome.
Tia Thorpe earned a $28,000 Presidential Honors Award from John Carroll University. She is the daughter of Victor and Joan Thorpe of Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Dottie Vincent earned a $60,000 Leadership Award from Mount Holyoke College. She is the daughter of Vicki and Jim Vincent of Rome.
Spencer Whittingham earned $112,000 in scholarship funds from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and $44,000 in scholarship funds from Florida Institute of Technology. He is the son of Colin and Karen Whittingham of Kingston, Jamaica.
Lauren Wood earned a $52,000 Bailey Scholarship from Mary Baldwin College. She is the daughter of Rise and Alan Wood of Cedartown, Ga.
