Members of the Darlington community, including faculty, alumni, parents, grandparents and friends, are invited to participate in the choral department's new choir, the Darlington Festival Singers. The group will be conducted by Dan Bishop, director of choral activities and chairman of the fine arts department.
According to Bishop, rehearsal dates/times and concert schedule are still in the formative stages and will be decided as soon as an enrollment survey is completed. Forty-two faculty members have already responded with interest.
“There is a special need for this type of ensemble on our campus and in our community,” said Bishop. “Many individuals have approached me over the past few years concerning the possibility of having such an ensemble, and I am excited to be able to fulfill this request. I would love for the ensemble to be able to begin rehearsing in January 2008.”

dbishop@darlingtonschool.org. Please include your name, voice part and your tie to Darlington. You will then have the opportunity to complete an online survey that will assist in putting together a rehearsal schedule and concert dates.
