During the May meeting of the Board of Trustees, three new officers were named and six trustees joined the governing body. Local cardiologist Frank Stegall (’62) is now chairman, with retired BellSouth executive Jere Drummond (’57) serving as vice chairman and former Camp Oil Co. owner Betsy Camp (’70T) as treasurer.

New members include Brooke Cornwell (’70T) of Charlotte, N.C., and Jeff Gardner of Little Rock, Ark., who is CEO of Windstream Communications. Ed Watters (’83) of Rome, president of Watters & Associates Landscape, is a member of the Northwest Georgia-Area Campaign Cabinet, Annual Fund volunteer, and has served previously on the Alumni Leadership Board.

In addition, two members of our school family have been named life trustees. Bob Glenn (’69) of Atlanta, executive managing director of Morgan & Keegan Co. Inc., is a visitor emeritus and has served previously on the Board of Trustees. Delos Yancey of Rome, CEO of State Mutual Insurance Co., has served previously on the Board of Trustees and the Board of Visitors. Retiring Board members include Walt Beaver, Scott Colley, Dick Cornwell (’67) and Bill Smith (’72).
