Outstanding athletes in varsity football, cross country, softball and volleyball were recognized at the
Fall Sports Assembly Monday, Dec. 7 in Morris Chapel.
In competition cheerleading:
Senior Katie Stout of Rome received the Scholar Award and was named Most Outstanding Senior.
Freshman Kamlyn Andrews of Cedartown, Ga., received the Coach's Award.
Freshman Taylor Flournoy of Cartersville, Ga., was named MVP.
In cross country:
Seniors Kathryn Aldrich of Charlotte, N.C., and Matthew Glover of Rome received the Scholar-Athlete Award.
Freshman Lindsay Evans of Rome and sophomore Alex Pickle of Menlo, Ga., were named Most Improved.
Sophomore Margaret Hjort and freshman Jesse Baker, both of Rome, received the Coach's Award.
Freshman Ansley McDurmon and senior Eric Wetherington, both of Rome, were named MVP.
In football:
Senior Dylan Baker of Rome received the Scholar Award.
Senior Collie Powers of Rome was named Most Outstanding Offensive Player.
Senior Will Orr of Rome was named Most Outstanding Defensive Player.
Sophomore Tev'n Hamilton of Rome was named Most Improved.
In football cheerleading:
Senior Lauren Hampton of Armuchee, Ga., received the Scholar-Athlete Award.
Captain Awards went to seniors Katie Brown of Coral Springs, Fla., and Katie Stout of Rome.
Senior Kim McAbee of Rome received the Coach's Award.
In softball:
Senior Lauren Dulaney of Rome received the Scholar-Athlete Award.
Senior Constanza Ospina of Rome was named Most Improved.
Sophomore Jessie Tudor of Lyerly, Ga., received the Coach's Award.
Captain Awards went to seniors Erin Ables Natalie Maffett of Rome and sophomore Anna Swafford of Dallas, Ga.
In volleyball:
Senior Alex Dodd of Rome received the Scholar Award.
Captain Awards went to seniors Nora Cook of Cedartown, Ga., and Katie Flint of Chicago, Ill.
Sophomore Calley Craton of Rome was named Most Improved.
Senior Shanarra Goode of Cypress, Calif., received the Coach's Award.
