Eighth-grader Terar Stewart was recently named the Mid-Day Optimist Club’s Student of the Month for October.
Stewart was selected because of her optimist and positive, can-do spirit. “T,” as she is known by many, was a leader on this fall’s Middle School softball squad as an outfielder and plans to try out for the basketball and track teams.
“Terar, a new student to Darlington this year, is well-liked by her peers and an excellent addition to our student body,” said Ken Wempe, Middle School dean of students. “We are very proud of her for receiving this honor, and thankful to the Mid-Day Optimist Club for inviting Darlington’s Middle School to be a part of their Student of the Month program this year.”
Terar Stewart is the daughter of Andre Stewart and Lamonica Watkins of Summerville, Ga.
