Darlington School’s French and Spanish honor societies inducted new members during a ceremony held Monday, March 31 in Morris Chapel.
To be inducted into Société Honoraire de Français, students must have completed two years of French or be a senior completing their second year of French, with an average of 90 for the two years. Inductees included Isabel Bonnyman, Wale Desalu, Shanarra Goode, Adrienne Hamil, Julia Hansen, Rachel Hong, Nina Luenstedt, Laura Lynch, Sneh Patel, Wiebke Scheppmann, Yumehito Takimoto and Viola Vorbrugen.
To be inducted into Sociedad Honoraria Nacional, students must be enrolled in their third year or more of Spanish and have a 90 overall average in Spanish III, an 85 in Spanish III Honors, or an 80 in Spanish IV/AP Spanish. Inductees included Kathryn Aldrich, Aabhas Amar, Anjali Banerjee, Elise Bliss, Garrett Brown, Maddie Cannon, Lee Cantrell, Kent Caraway, Caroline Clements, Nash Cooper, Angie Davidson, Alex Dean, Cortland Dines, DeJa Freeland, Tylon Garrett, Kristin Martiniello, Lauren McDaniel, Tami McKenzie, Connor McWhorter, Katie Mullen, Chutimun Napombejara, Cooper O’Shaughnessy, Alexis Olszewski, Clay Phillips, Monique Picon, Kurt Purvis, Evan Smallwood, Cameron Smith, Cedrica Spivey, Katie Stout, Adam Troy and Cavin Urquhart.
