Media
Teachers have permission to show G-rated movies in the classroom, as it applies to the curriculum. All other movies have to go through a screening process and parents will be notified if the teacher intends to show a full-length movie rated PG and above. At times, various media clips may be used to compliment a lesson.
Cell Phones
During the school day, cell phones and personal audio devices (Headphones, iPods, MP3 Players, iPhones, other cellular devices, or etc.) may only be used with the permission of and under the direct supervision of teachers. Use should include approved classroom activities for academic purposes only.
Technology Free Zones
Technology, at Darlington, requires supervision. Students are not to be on their phones or on their computers while in common areas. These areas include the Ledbetter Commons, halls, locker rooms, restrooms, and the dining hall.
