It is my pleasure to welcome you to another exciting new year at Darlington! The 2023-2024 school year will mark Darlington’s 119th year, and we look forward to sharing it with you and your family.
For over a century, Darlington educators have strongly believed in the ongoing development of a community that lives its mission. Each day, members of our school community are guided by values that focus on the deep and abiding love and respect we have for one another. Together, we discern right from wrong, act with courage and conviction, practice ethical leadership, and exhibit honorable character.
The contents of this handbook should serve as our compass and a blueprint, by which we all live, learn, play, and grow together in a safe and stimulating school environment. Our core values and “essential agreements” described in Parent and Student Handbook are guiding principles that help us to encourage and nurture all of our students.
The Darlington Community is wholeheartedly committed to our mission, "To empower students to learn with passion, act with integrity, and serve with respect." Along with this and in ways which are developmentally appropriate, our faculty and staff teach students to think critically, communicate effectively, and develop their own strengths and talents.
I look forward to working with each and every one of you in your quest to embody the Portrat of a Darlington graduate. Together, we can help our students be prepared to meet the challenges of a changing world with wisdom, honor, and in service to others.
