Game Summary
Your Darlington Wrestling team competed extremely well today finishing in the top 10 out of a field of 38 schools from around the nation. This national tournament consist of prep schools from 15 different states with nationally ranked athletes in many of the weight classes. Colton Woods wrestling at 115 pounds finished second to Marist Schools Andrew Pace. He is the first Darlington freshmen to make the finals of this competitive tournament. Dalton Blankenship had an outstanding tournament finishing 3rd losing only to nationally ranked 108 pound athlete from Lake highland Prep School out of Florida. Rhett McDurmon placed 4th in a deep weight class losing in the consolation finals in overtime to the number seed in the tournament from Louisiana. Davis Peek pinned two of his opponents providing the team with enough points to secure an over all finish of 10th.
