She holds a B.S. in Middle Grades English from Shorter College, a master’s degree in reading from Walden University, and certification in Special Education. She has two decades of experience in the classroom. Prior to her work at Darlington, Kristen was a special education facilitator at Rome Middle School for eight years. She has also taught middle grades English. She and her husband, Brent, have three children, Braden (‘23), Brysen (‘26) and Brenten (‘28).
