Fourth-grade students in Ms. Watterson's math class put their place value understanding to the test with playground rounding! Students brainstormed ways we could make our playground "better" and then went to the Playground Depot online store to shop for equipment. Students had to fill in a purchase order request and round each item to the nearest ten thousand, thousand, and hundred. Then, students worked to find the estimated sum of the playground equipment and make a Flip video on how they did it!
