Ms. Watterson's fourth-graders had fun putting their place value understanding to use with an Amazon shopping spree! After spending time reviewing addition and subtraction with place value strategies, students were give a virtual $10,000 and then could use it to fill their "shopping cart" with awesome wishlist items. Students then had to find the sum of their carts and determine how much money they had left!
