The second-grade Watterson Wildflowers finished their life cycle unit with a trip to the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, Tenn. After a study in life cycles and a writing research project on butterflies, the Tennessee Aquarium offered a hands-on experience with different animals and the butterfly exhibit!
Students were then able to learn more about Australia from our study of continents with the IMAX film "Australia's Wild North." Of course, no field trip to the aquarium would be complete without a last-minute treat from Ben & Jerry's ice cream!
