Mrs. Massey's literacy groups built and decorated edible snow houses as a fun culminating literature connection activity after reading several winter and snow themed mentor texts. The books we read are: The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats, Snow Day! by Lester Laminack, The Three Snow Bears by Jan Brett, The Snow Globe Family by Jane O'Connor, Owl Moon by Jane Yolen, and Snowmen at Night and Snowmen All Year by Caralyn Buehner.
