The girls' varsity golf team got off to an impressive start with a 14 stroke win at the Lafayette Invitational at Lafayette Golf Course.
Nea Leppanen was the low medalist in the tournament with a 75 and Liza Frisbee finished second in the tournament and was selected to the all tournament team. Hannah Willerson added the third qualiftying score of 97 to give the Lady Tigers a team total of 252, which was 14 shots better than runner-up Walton. Anne Scott Smith also participated for the Tigers and scored the first two birdies of her career in shooting a 105.
The Lady Tigers showed great improvement from their last tournament in February and will be in action again on April 8 at Fields Ferry Golf Club for the Calhoun Invitational.
