The Jordan Jewels second-graders hosted their families in the Ledbetter Commons for a gold medal ceremony.
The evening was a celebration of the hard work the students had put into their Olympic research projects. Students had the opportunity to dress up as their Olympian while they showed passers by a published book of research, a keynote presentation and a foil sculpture they had created in art class. Each book contained research the children had done on their Olympic athlete, the athlete's sport and the country in which they represented.
