Student-athletes recognized at Winter Sports Assembly

Outstanding athletes in varsity basketball, swimming and diving, and wrestling were recognized at the Winter Sports Assembly on Monday, March 14, in Morris Chapel. 

In basketball:
Seniors Jade Cox and Will Sparks, both of Rome, received the Athletic Booster Club Scholar-Athlete Award.

Senior Keara Evans of Rome received the Coaches' Award.

Senior Will Sparks received the Pillar Award.

Junior Anna Claire Atha of Rome and senior Kyle Tackeberry (
Matthews, N.C.) were named Most Valuable Players.

In swimming and diving:
Seniors Emily Robertson and Will Robertson, both of Kennesaw, Ga., received the Athletic Booster Club Scholar-Athlete Award.

Seniors Will Robertson and Emma Turner (Atlanta) received the Pillar Award.

Freshmen Samson Mumber and Jane Tullis, both of Rome, were named Most Valuable Players.

In wrestling:
Senior Trent Blankenship of Aragon, Ga. received the Athletic Booster Club Scholar-Athlete Award.

Freshman Rhett McDurmon of Rome received the Pillar of the Team Award.

Freshman Colton Woods of Cedartown, Ga. was named Most Valuable Player.
